Hi, there! I’m Riley! I’m a destination wedding photographer specializing in elopements and intimate weddings. I live just outside of Kansas City in a cozy little house on a lake with my boyfriend and our dog, Addie. I also write for Thine, a fine arts wedding magazine, and work at a local mom-and-pop restaurant in my spare time. I’m a proud Midwestern girl, but I’ve always had a wanderer’s spirit! Over the last five years, my boyfriend and I have explored 24 different countries, and will hit the happy trail again in a few weeks! My life-long affinity for adventure, photography and beautiful relationships inspired my pursuit of elopements as a career. As a traveler, I enjoy checking off bucket-list countries, but prefer “the lure of local” once I’ve arrived. I’ll take public transportation and local haunts or street food over Instagram hot spots any day. As a photographer, I prefer the quiet, tender moments. This probably stems from my journalism degree and overall demeanor as more of a professional observer. My favorite photographs are usually the in-between moments; the moments I was simply lucky enough to be a part of. If you watch and wait, I find stories will often begin to tell themselves.……..but real talk...don’t worry, I’m also a pro at giving prompts to get you started and avoid any awkwardness!
